Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda: Kigali International Airport
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Kinigi for an overnight. The journey goes through beautiful rolling / majestic hills of Rwanda.  Dinner and overnight in Gorillas Nest Lodge or  Kinigi Guest House

Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking: Volcanoes National Park
Have early breakfast and drive to park headquarters, have a briefing and enter the Virunga Mountain ranges in search for golden monkeys. The experience of staying with golden monkeys is wornderful and memorable. Lunch at the lodge and embark on a cultural tour to nearby communities. Dinner and overnight in Gorillas Nest Lodge or Kinigi Guest House

Day 3: Hike to Diana Fossey's Grave
Early breakfast is followed by hike to grave of Dian Fossey, situated at the former Karisoke Research Center. This is where Dian spent about 20 years studying the Mountain Gorillas. The trek to the site is quite spectacular, passes through thick bamboo forest and afro-montane habitats, with criss-crossed trails with tracks of forest buffalo and elephant! Expect to see all sorts of wildlife on our way up and down to the graves, nestled between the beautiful volcanic peaks of Karismbi and Visoke. Overnight at Kinigi Guest House or Gorillas Nest Lodge.

Day 4: Departure
Have breakfast and transfer to Kigali. Depending on your departure flight, we can go for a city tour with visits to Genocide Menorial sites like Gisozi, Nyamata and Ntarama,  lunch in Kigali and later transfer to the Airport where the tour ends.
End of the safari.

• We accept payments preferably in US Dollars. Small Bills (1 -20) attract a lower rate. For payments in other currencies, currency exchange rates vary daily & we always calculate them accurately using the most current international banking data available.

We accept wire transfers and credit card payments. Payment by credit card is subject to a surchage of 5%

Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National park can be conducted but subject to availability of Gorilla Trekking permits.
