2 Day short Uganda safari to Uganda’s most accessible national park; Lake Mburo National Park. It is just 3 hours drive from Kampala. Lake Mburo National Park is a very special place every part of it is alive with; variety, interest and colour. Enjoy game viewing in the savanna grasslands as well as birding and nature walks through different habitats such as wetlands. Enjoy boat rides on Lake Mburo. Notable wildlife in the park include zebras, impala, buffaloes, and birds.
Trip Summary
Day 1: Travel to Lake Mburo National Park. Have a brief stop over at the Equator. Enjoy an afternoon boat trip on Lake Mburo in search for water game.
Day 2: Early morning game viewing. Return to Kampala after the trip.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Lake Mburo National Park.
Have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park (3-6hrs), with a brief stop at the Equator for photographs. Gather your strength after lunch for afternoon boat trip on Lake Mburo it self in search for water game such as Hippos, crocodiles, birds and statunga antelopes inhabiting in papyruses surrounding the Lake. Dinner and overnight Mantana Tented Camp / Arcadia Cottages.
Day 2: Game drive – Departure.
Early morning go for a game drive through the park in search for acacia related animals and birds. Expect a thrilling encounter with Zebras, Impala, Oribs, buffalo, elands, topi, Defassa waterbuck, Bohor reedbuck, sitatunga antelope, klipspringer, vervet monkey, olive baboon, side-striped Jackal, spotted-hyena, leopard (though rare), white-tailed mongoose and many more. Return to the lodge for lunch and drive back to Kampala. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
