3 DAYS QUEEN ELIZABETH WILDLIFE SAFARI

Trip Overview

Day 1: Leave Kampala for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Have a stop over at the Equator. Evening game drive in the park, visit the saline lake Katwe and the local salt mines.
Day 2: Game Viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Boat ride along the Kazinga Channel.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge. Check out for other primates during the trek. Head back to Kampala reaching in the evening.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park via Kampala- Masaka road (7hrs). Stop at the equator for a brief tour and continue to Mbarara for lunch. Check in at Mweya safari lodge/ Mweya hostel. Go for an evening game drive to Katwe town. Check out the saline lake and other several crater lakes. You may see buffalos and warthogs on the road. Back to Mweya lodge/ Mweya Hostel.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Trip
Go for an early morning game drive to Kasenyi plains around the Kazinga channel. Lots of game to see such as herds of elephants, buffalos, Defassa waterbuck, leopards, bush buck, giant forest hogs among g others. After lunch embark on a launch trip on the Kazinga channel and gaze at the beautiful scenery of the park. Check out the hippos, crocodiles, thirsty animals taking water along the banks. Lots of water birds like shoebill, marabous stock, papyrus Gonolek, pelicans, and white- bellied cormorants among others. Return to the lodge.

Day 3: Kyambura Gorge Chimpanzee Tracking - Departure
go early morning to Kyambura gorge to check out chimpanzees and other primates like the black and white colobus, olive baboons, red tailed monkeys and potto, L'Hoest monkey. Have lunch and head back to Kampala.
