This is the only park in Uganda where night game drives are conducted. Expect an encounter with nocturnal dwellers such as the white tailed mongoose and slender mongoose, standard and pennant winged nightjars, leopards, cats, hyenas, and many more. It is nestled in the basin of the western Rift valley, and one of the parks with many habitats ranging from Riparian forests, rain forests to short and high grass savannah.

Trip Overview

Day 1: Leave Kampala for Semuliki National Park. Night Game Drive in the Park.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Semuliki National Park. Enjoy the trek that is filled with other sightings that include birds and other wildlife.
Day 3: Drive back to Kampala.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Semliki National park: Night Game drive
white tailed mangoose Have breakfast to transfer to Semliki National park (7-8hrs). Relax after lunch to prepare to the spot lit / night game drive in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Semliki safari Lodge / Kanyankyu Ecological site (Full Board)

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking, Game Drive
Have a cup of coffee / tea and go down into the beautiful gallery rainforest to track wild chimpanzees. Bird life in this picturesque forest is prolific. Retire from the chimp trekking, lunch at the lodge and relax and later embark on afternoon game drive as you watch the sun dip. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge. (Full Board)

Day 3: Departure
In the morning following breakfast you will drive back to Kampala, arrive by evening.
