Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Leave Kampala for Lake Mburo National Park. Have a stop over at the Equator.

Day 2: Go for a game drive in Kasenyi Plains. Take a launch trip along the Kazinga Channel.

Day 3: Go for chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura Gorge. After an hour with the gorillas, connect to Bwindi Forest National Park through the Ishasha Sector

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Visit the local communities or take a nature walk along the Munyanja Trail

Day 5; Return Trip to Kampala.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Set off from Kampala, head to the west via Masaka- Mbarara road. Stop at equator in Masaka and for lunch in Mbarara.

Day 2: At sunset go for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains after taking your cup of tea. Wildlife you are likely to spot is big herds of elephants, buffalos, Uganda Kobs, warthogs, Defassa waterbuck, bushbuck, giant forest hogs, and leopards among others. A launch trip on the ferry across the Kazinga channel is exciting with views of the lake Edward and lake George, water wildlife such as crocs, hippos, marabou stork, pelicans, Gonolek, flamingoes among others. Back to your lodge.

Day 3; Go for chimp trekking in the Kyambura gorge early morning after taking your breakfast. Go take a look at our lovely cousins, the chimps since they have so much in common with us (humans). Spend an hour with them then take lunch. Next we depart for Bwindi national park a world wide recognized habitant for the mountain gorillas. Sleep in gorilla nest/ Buhoma community bands/ Lake Kitandara lodge.

Day 4: At dawn wake up and take breakfast, get ready for gorilla trekking by 0800hrs. You trek thought the huge Bwindi forest as you search for the mountain gorillas to observe their behavior, this can be half day or longer. After tracking, go for a brief visit to Munyanja trail or the local community. Then retire back to lodge.

Day 5: after a light cup of coffee, get in the car back to Kampala city. Stop for lunch in Mbarara and a glance of the equator in Masaka.
