6 Days Uganda Tour – Big 5 Safari

The 6 Days Uganda tour is crafted to include 2 important wildlife reserves – Queen Elizabeth (QENP) and Bwindi national parks. With one of the largest biodiversity in the world, Queen Elizabeth national park, hosts a huge range of wildlife in her 1,978 Sq. Km geographical area. Mammals such as cape buffaloes, elephants, giant warthogs, spotted-hyenas, hippos, leopards and lions among others plus a plethora of birds including forest and savanna woodland  and migratory bird species along the famous Kazinga Channel qualify this park as one the most visited in Uganda. The diverse landscape including undulating plains, Kyambura gorge, the crater Lakes and Mount Rwenzori ranges, make this place very spectacular. QENP together with the neighboring Virunga national park in DR Congo, was designated as a ‘Lion Conservation Unit’ by IUCN in 2006.

The second park to be visited according to the 6 days Uganda safari, is Bwindi Impenetrable national park (BINP). The park is an ecologically rich complex and thus designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With afromontane forests, a rare vegetation specie in Africa, BINP is one of the few large tracts of East African forests still in existence. The park boasts of 220 tree species and more than 50% of local Uganda species and other species endemic to the Western Rift valley. BINP harbors various mammals but notably are the over 550 mountain gorilla individuals among others.
