Discounted Chimpanzee Permits in Uganda for Low Season

Kibale Forest National Park is well known for chimpanzee tracking which is usually $150 per person. Uganda Wildlife Authority promotes tourism through discounts to all visitors who come to Uganda only in the low seasons of April, May and November. Chimpanzee discounted permits of 2017-2018 are $50 less to the usual $150 in Kibale Forest National Park best for track Chimpanzees.

Kibale Forest National Park-Uganda has more than 1500 chimpanzees out of 6000 Chimpanzees Uganda has in total numbers. You can see chimpanzees any time you go tracking but can only get discounted chimpanzee permits during the low season of April, May and November every year.
It is only in Uganda where there are discounted permits for both chimpanzee and gorilla tracking which is done in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park (usually discounted by $150 from the standard cost of $600).

You are only allowed to be with the chimpanzees for just an hour with a chimpanzee family in Kibaale Forest National Park just like it is for gorilla trekking. The entire movement in search of the primates takes about 3-4 hours. However, you can a also find chimpanzees in Uganda in Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kalinzu Forests near Queen Elizabeth Park, Semliki National Park and in, Budongo forest in Murchison fall National.

The main reason why Uganda Wildlife Authority introduced discounts on Chimpanzee and gorilla Permits in Kibale and Bwindi Forest National Parks was to help visitors save $50 and $150 on permits which cost $150 and $600 respectively as the initial costs.

Traveling for Gorilla and Chimpanzee tracking is better done when it is in low seasons of April, May and November when permits are discounted.
To ensure getting the discounted permits all you have to do is to contact a tour company for best and easy booking for your permits and also transport, accommodation and meals throughout your stay in Uganda.
Traveling to Uganda in the rainy seasons may seem so negative and the worst period but on the other hand it’s the best time to those interested in doing some activities or going for safari. The place is less crowded with lower accommodation prices and discounted gorilla-chimpanzee trekking permit prices ($450 instead of $600 and $100 instead of $150 for April, May and November)

You are advised during this season to carry along with you the exact garments of long trousers and shirt, waterproof hiking boots, gardening gloves, packed lunch, about two liters of water, Camera, small first aid-kit and also walking Sticks. These ensure that you are protected from branches, thorns, annoying flies and soldier ants or anything that may scratch you.
